Falbo Bros Pizzeria Settles Into New Shorewood Location

Taking the pizza reins from Salvatore's, owners Ted and Sam Speerschneider opened the doors a week ago and say business has been steady.

Some minor façade alterations, quick interior adjustments and Falbo Bros. Pizzeria was up and running.

The brand new Shorewood pizzeria opened its doors a week ago at 2213 E. Capitol Dr. Ted Speerschneider, who co-owns the business with his brother Sam, said business has been steady.

"We had a great first weekend," he said.

Falbo serves up thin, deep-dish and Chicago-style stuffed crust pizza, salads, flatbread sandwiches, pasta and deserts and beer and wine.

The Madison-based pizza chain has six restaurants in the state, five in Iowa and one in Colorado. Ted, who is from Whitefish Bay, has owned a franchised Falbo Bros. in Middleton, Wis for eight years.

The Speerschneiders took the restaurant over from Salvatore’s who filled in Spring of last year after Gianelli's pizza went out of business.

My kids didn't like the pizza at Savatore's--hopefully they'll like Falbo's better. I'm looking forward to giving them a try.

I've never actually been inside Vedo's. Do they have dine-in seating, or is it just carryout?

You don't know what you're talking about. Upper Crust is awful.

"Reigns?" Does anyone proofread articles before they are posted? I've accepted the fact that three our of four bloggers on any online site use "loose" when the mean"lose." However, the expectation should be greater for a news story.

Hey Kathy,

Thanks for catching that. While all the Patch editors are trained journalists, some errors do find their way through the cracks. I've made the correction; thanks again for finding the error.
