CONTEST: Choose Your Favorite Heart from the Public Art Event

There are 35 "I Love Shorewood" hearts scattered throughout the village. Tell us in the comments which is your favorite and you'll be entered in a random drawing for a prize package including Patch swag and admission to the heart auction.

Contest rules

The "I Love Shorewood" public art event continues through Sept. 1 throughout the village. Photos of all 35 are shown here; vote for your favorite in the Comments and you could win a prize from Patch and the Village of Shorewood.

Included in your prize will be:

  • A collection of Patch-branded swag (that's Stuff We All Get)
  • A notecard set featuring prints of the hearts from this year's event
  • Two admissions to the Sept. 16 auction of the hearts at Hubbard Park Lodge.

Here are more specific details on the contest:

  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter, enter in the Comments section of this article which of the 35 hearts shown here is your favorite.
  • All entries must be received by midnight Central Time on Aug. 31, 2012
  • You may enter one time only.
  • One winner will be selected in a random drawing.
  • One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a collection of Patch-branded items, a notecard set featuring prints of the hearts and two admissions to the Sept. 16 auction of the hearts. Total estimated value $100.

So many great ones to choose from! I love the creativity of the heart for Stone Creek! But in the end, I vote for #28 -- Love the playfulness and energy of it, and how it represents Shorewood!

These pictures do not the hearts justice! After looking at them in natural light, there were some amazing works. #1 had some very rich texture applied that I have never seen done before. Very nicely done.

This was a great event. We spent a family afternoon walking around the Village looking for and at the hearts. We narrowed the field to ##2, 5, 7, 14, 22, 28 & 35. If we can only pick one favorite, it will be #7 - Vanity Fur!
