Candidates Advance in Supreme Court, Circuit Court Primaries

Pat Roggensack and Ed Fallone will compete in April for the state Supreme Court, while Rebecca Bradley and Janet Protasiewicz will compete for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court Branch 45 seat.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Pat Roggensack of Madison and Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone of Whitefish Bay will square off in the April 2 election for the high court after advancing in Tuesday's primary.

With 93 percent of the votes counted statewide as of 10:36 p.m., Roggensack captured more than 63 percent of the ballots cast, while Fallone had 30 percent, according to Patch's media partners at WISN 12.

Vince Megna was eliminated from the race and had garnered about 6 percent of the vote.

Roggensack has served on the state Supreme Court since 2003. Fallone, 48, teaches constitutional, corporate and criminal law. Megna, 68, of Menomonee Falls, is a lemon law lawyer who works for Aiken & Scoptur, S.C. in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee County Judge race

Rebecca Bradley and Janet Protasiewicz will advance to the next step for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court Branch 45 seat, according to our media partners at WISN Channel 12.

By 10 p.m. and with 96 percent of the votes tallied, Bradley received 10,173 votes, Protasiewicz got 6,173 votes, and Gil Urfer garnered 2,464 votes.

Bradley, a Wauwatosa resident, spent most of her legal career in private practice, and most recently as a business litigator with the firm Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek, reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Protasiewicz, a Marquette Law School graduate, has been a Milwaukee County prosecutor for nearly 25 years in both civil and criminal court.

Urfer, who was also considered when Donegan retired, currently practices private law as a civil litigator at Nistler Law Office, reported the Shepherd Express.

I don't think that the "Waukesha Co R primary" was a primary.

Of course it was a primary--a Repug primary!

DanielBice Biggest loser of the election: Rep. Joel Kleefisch endorsed 3 of the 5 candidates in 98th District - yet still didn't pick a winner.

Wisconsin voters are not that stupid. Ann Walsh Bradley is playing the voters for fools. She should do Fallone a favor and stop trying to affect the election with her office activism. Respect is earned, we will show her the respect she deserves when we replace her in 2015. Until then she should put on her big girl robe and get bact to work.

Glad to see the union propped candidate only could get 30% of the vote? Support waning for the whiners?

Adam Neylon...I've met the young man, and he's impressive, Conserative to his core. Look for Adam Neylon to make a positive impact at the Capital.
