Shorewood schools district continued their hair-cutting-for-charity tradition Wednesday during the Buzz Cuts for Cancer event.
Students and faculty shaved their heads in the name of ending childhood cancer. Proceeds will benefit the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer Fund.
This year, the event is apart of the Shorewood Games — a two-week fundraising campaign to benefit the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer).
Every four years since the 1980s, the community has united for the games, and over the decades, raised $135,000 for the MACC Fund. Hopes are to bring the total to more than $150,000 this year.

No shout-out to the hair stylists that took time out of their work day to contribute?

Sorry Zak. I flat out forgot the event was Wednesday (thought it was on Thursday for some reason) and therefore didn't have any photos. A high school parent was nice enough to supply Patch with some photos.
