Alex Wilson Band Brings Blues, Jazz to Hubbard Park Wednesday

As the third act in Shorewood's summer-long concert series, the blues and jazz trio will rock Shorewood's Milwaukee River-adjacent venue at 6 p.m.

 

Wisconsin Area Music Industry award-winner Alex Wilson Band will rock the Hubbard Park stage Wednesday night.

As the third act in Shorewood's summer-long concert series, the blues and jazz band will start jamming at 6:30 p.m. in the park, 3565 N. Morris Blvd.

The Milwaukee trio of Alex Wilson, his uncle Marc on drums and brother Matthew singing harmonies and playing bass, garnered the 2007 WAMI for blues group/artist and guitarist of the year. 

The group placed 8th among 130 groups in the plus the International Blue Challenge in Memphis in 2011, and has been invited back for the 2013 challenge.

Assorted food and beverages will be sold; no carry-in alcohol is allowed.

Shorewood Patch will be on hand before and during the concert to greet readers and hand out free goodies to concert-goers.
