10th Assembly Candidate Forum Slated for Monday at Shorewood Library

Marking two weeks until the primary, Grassroots Northshore will hold a forum Monday. Rep. Sandy Pasch and resident Millie Coby have confirmed their attendance.

Grassroots Shorewood will host a candidate’s forum Monday night at the Shorewood Public Library.

Rep. Sandy Pasch of Whitefish Bay, Millie Coby of Shorewood, Ieshuh Griffin of Milwaukee and Harriet Callier of Milwaukee are Democrats vying for the 10th Assembly District seat. Monday will mark about two weeks until the four square off in a Democratic Primary Aug. 14, and with no Republican on the ballot, the winner earns the seat.

The event starts in the library's public room, 3920 N. Murray Ave., at 6 p.m.

Callier and Griffin have yet to confirm their attendance at the forum.

(This story was updated Wednesday 4:24 p.m., to reflect Grassroots Shorewood is hosting the forum and not Grassroots Northshore).

Griffin definitely isn't afraid to speak her mind, but I'd prefer a candidate that is more open to being the white man's bitch...

To hold that against her is not fair, in my opinion, if she has the guts the go ahead and the weather all, and is the best choice would you disregard the totality of it all because of a choice of words?

The fact that she fought to have those words to appear on the ballot is reason enough to hold it against her.

The racial component contained in those words makes me doubt that she is interested in representing everyone in the district...

I'm in shocked that I actually agree with CowDung on something...
In all seriousness, we ALL deserve someone with more maturity and better judgment representing us.

Monday is Shorewood ready for the Black invasion? Will Shorewood welcome these women or act 'ignant'-ebonics for 'ignorant'?

Wow, given the choices available on the Democratic side, a moderate Republican might just stand a shot in this race, should one declare.
